Who we are

Sophy Chan-Nguyen

Founder & Principal Consultant

My name is Sophy. I created The Good Nexus to help startups and businesses in the MedTech and HealthTech space design products and services that meet the needs of the people they aim to serve.

Having received my PhD in Health Promotion from Queen’s University, I am a public health researcher by trade with expertise in community engagement and large-scale strategizing for healthcare systems. I have spent the past 10 years working with government, universities, healthcare professionals, community organizations, and patients to make healthcare more effective, equitable, and accessible.

The idea for The Good Nexus came from my work with family physicians and patients—many of whom are eager to support innovation but are often overlooked or under-engaged in the design process.

I saw a clear opportunity: startups need real-world, community-based insights, and communities want to contribute meaningfully. My role is to bridge that gap.

Whether you're launching a new initiative or refining your impact model, I bring a mix of rigour, compassion, and strategic clarity to help you do good—and do it well.
